Casablanca Fan Company has stepped up their control technology for three ceiling fan models the Bel Air Fan, the Bel Air Halo fan and the Mission fan.  This soft launch of the Power Touch control will happen during the Summer of 2007.  Casablanca fans will release the full launch converting all Inteli-Touch controls to Power Touch controls.

What makes the Power Touch Control Better?

The Power Touch control uses power line communications that can not be effected by outside interference such as garage door openers and wireless networks.  Normal radio frequency control are usually effected.  There is also no antenna need for operation of this control.  Power line is proven technology used in utility products available from GE, ABB, Dimat and Hunt.  Power Touch uses existing wiring to communicate with the desired ceiling fan.  Power Touch is also immune to signal attenuation caused by walls, metal objects and people unlike the radio frequency controls.

The Power Touch Control is Easier to Use

Casablanca ceiling fans are about to experience easier operation by having a more simple interface than the inteli touch wall control.  The Power Touch control will still have all of the inteli touch features as a base.  This control will also have a more contemporary design.  These Power Touch controls can operate muliple ceiling fans on one control and they will be compatable with whole house dimming systems.

I am very excited to see the new Power Touch in action the question is will Casablanca Fan Company deliver this technology on time?  I have faith in the Worlds Finest Ceiling Fan Company.
